Microneedling uses very fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, prompting a repair response that improves texture, scarring and pore size. At The Therapy Studio in Rimington a microneedling facial is £120, or £345 for a course of three.
Acne scarring, uneven texture, enlarged pores, dullness and early fine lines. It also helps serums absorb far better, so an appropriate active is applied straight after the needling.
Microneedling is also used on the scalp as part of hair restoration, and on stretch marks and scarring elsewhere on the body.
Sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart, which is roughly how long the skin takes to complete a repair cycle. Three to six sessions is typical, depending on what is being treated.
Improvement carries on for a couple of months after the last session as collagen matures.

Numbing cream is applied first. The treatment can feel scratchy or prickly.

It is one of the more effective treatments for rolling acne scars, though active inflamed acne needs settling first. Steph will assess your skin before starting.
