Radiofrequency microneedling is available at The Therapy Studio in Rimington, about ten minutes from Clitheroe, with a guide price from £200. Fine needles deliver radiofrequency energy beneath the skin to tighten existing collagen and trigger new collagen, which helps laxity, acne scarring, pores and crepey texture.
Early sagging along the jawline, enlarged pores, acne scarring, stretch marks and skin that has lost its firmness all respond well. Because the energy works below the surface, it is generally suitable for a wider range of skin tones than laser resurfacing.
A course of three sessions four to six weeks apart is typical, and results carry on improving for around three months as new collagen forms.
Expect redness, warmth and sometimes a faint grid pattern for two to three days, with mild swelling on the first evening. You will be given aftercare products and clear instructions before you leave.
Daily SPF afterwards is not optional — it protects the result you have paid for.
