A chemical peel applies a controlled acid solution to lift dead surface cells and speed up cell turnover, improving brightness, congestion, pigmentation and fine texture. At The Therapy Studio in Rimington the guide price is from £90, with peel strength matched to your skin.
What a peel improves
Dull, tired-looking skin, blocked pores and blackheads, patchy pigmentation, sun damage and fine lines. Lighter peels give a fresh glow with no real downtime; stronger peels do more but ask for a few days of shedding.
Peels are often used in a short course, and they pair well with a good home skincare routine.
Choosing the right strength
Steph assesses your skin, history of pigmentation and how your skin usually reacts before choosing a peel. Some skins need preparing with home products for a few weeks first.
A patch test may be advised, particularly for pigmentation-prone skin.
