A PRP facial uses platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood, applied or injected into the skin after microneedling to support repair and texture. At The Therapy Studio in Rimington, near Clitheroe, the price is £200 for PRP or £250 for iPRF, with course prices available.
A small sample of your blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, which is rich in platelets and growth factors. That plasma is then used with microneedling so it reaches the skin that needs it.
Because the material is your own, there is nothing foreign introduced.
iPRF is the same idea prepared differently; a smaller volume that is more concentrated in growth factors. Steph will explain which is more appropriate for you.
It suits dull, tired or crepey skin, early ageing and some acne scarring, and it can be used carefully under the eyes.
