PRP hair restoration injects platelet-rich plasma from your own blood into the scalp to support weakened follicles. At The Therapy Studio in Rimington, around ten minutes from Clitheroe, a single treatment is from £250 and a course of three from £700, with iPRF from £300.
Who it helps
Men and women with thinning hair, a widening parting, a receding hairline or some types of alopecia, and people wanting better density after a hair transplant. It works best where follicles are weakened rather than gone.
On average three to six treatments are needed, four to six weeks apart, with maintenance every six to twelve months.
PRP, iPRF and add-ons
iPRF is prepared differently — more blood, spun another way, giving a smaller but more concentrated volume that is higher in growth factors. Scalp microneedling and LED red light therapy can be added to a plan.
Steph will tell you honestly at consultation whether your pattern of loss is likely to respond.

Aftercare and what to expect
- •Come with freshly washed hair and no styling products, and drink plenty of water the day before.
- •Leave the scalp alone for 24 hours — no washing, dye, heat styling, swimming or heavy exercise.
- •Expect tenderness on the day; results build gradually over three to six months.
