Hopi ear candling is a complementary therapy in which a hollow candle is placed gently at the ear, usually finished with a relaxing face and scalp massage. At The Therapy Studio in Rimington the guide price is from £60.
You lie on your side while the candle is held in place, one ear at a time, with a warm crackling sound many people find soothing. A face, scalp and lymphatic massage usually follows.
The whole appointment takes around forty-five minutes to an hour.
Ear candling is offered as a relaxing complementary therapy. It is not a medical treatment and is not a way to remove ear wax.
